Why this floor

Level 10 is set up for a law practice.

Clarence was created by lawyers, for lawyers, with 600+ independent practices across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. At 95 North Quay the whole of Level 10 is ours.

Do the legal work from here

The whole of Level 10, with a riverfront outlook, members-only access and the Supreme, District and Magistrates courts a short walk from the lift.

  • Acoustically treated meeting and mediation rooms on the floor, from $45 an hour
  • Enterprise-grade fibre internet, with LEAP, Smokeball, LexisNexis and the rest supported
  • Reception and mail handled properly, with 24/7 member access to your floor

Knock on a door when you need one

Level 10 is home to independent practices doing the same kind of work as you. Referrals, a witness for an affidavit, a notary, a sounding board on a hard file: they happen because the people are here.

  • A member directory you can search by practice area
  • Introductions from Member Services, who know who does what
  • Regular member events on the floor

Extra hands when a deadline lands

Clarence Legal Services is paralegal support you can call on by the task. Filing at the registry, witnessing, brief and court delivery, printing and collating, and daily mail runs that know what a deadline is.

  • Scope and fees are agreed before any task starts
  • Charged separately from your office or virtual membership
  • Ask Member Services what the team can take off your desk

Terms that move with the practice

Private offices run month to month or on 6, 12 and 24-month terms. Virtual memberships are month to month. Start on one and change when the practice does.

  • Your office fee includes reception greeting your clients, internet, cleaning, utilities and daily mail. Phone answering and Clarence Legal Services are charged separately.
  • Brisbane private offices start from $935 per office per month on a 12-month term, plus GST. Ask about availability for your team size and start date.
  • Five days a month of complimentary interstate office use per business, subject to availability.

  • Harry Gibbs Commonwealth Law Courts, 119 North Quay, next door and about a minute away
  • Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, the Supreme and District Courts, 415 George Street, about three to four minutes
  • Brisbane Magistrates Court on George, Roma and Turbot Streets, about four to five minutes

Getting here

Rail, bus and river transport all connect within a few minutes on foot.

  • Roma Street rail and bus station, about five to seven minutes on foot
  • North Quay busway and George Street stops between Turbot and Tank Streets, a few minutes away

“It's across the road from the courts. I can pop over and file, or give it to reception and they'll file it for me, handy being the only person in my firm.”

Phil Ridgway, Partner, Pearson Emerson Family Law, at Clarence North Quay

“The surprise was how quiet it is, you tuck away and get your work done. The soundproofing's great after an office where you could hear next door. It's a relief.”

“As the mother of a young child, Clarence has supported me not only as a sole practitioner, but in my growth when I was ready to expand my team. The flexibility and support make it possible to work on my own terms and still have a successful career.”

Helena Mrmos

“When I started out on my own, I needed somewhere that had everything set up so I could just focus on my clients. Clarence gave me that, reception, offices, right near the courts. As my team has grown, they have grown with me. I have gone from one office to four, and it has all just worked.”
