Where the work comes from

Lawyers nearby when you need them, and your own door to close when you don’t.

Clarence members talking over a table in the member lounge

You run your practice behind your own door. The network is there for the moments you choose to use it.

Witnessing, on your floor

Swearing an affidavit needs another solicitor in the room. Here that is a few doors away rather than a trip across town.

The right practitioner, close by

When a matter lands outside your area, the person who does that work every day may be down the hall. Introductions happen at CPD sessions and in the kitchen.

Someone to think out loud with

When you want to think out loud before sending the difficult letter, there are people here who understand exactly what you are weighing up.

Why lawyers choose Clarence

Four promises we run on.

Clarence was created by lawyers, and it runs on four promises to the people who practise here.

01

Focus on the law.

We look after the premises, you look after your matters.
Reception trained in legal etiquette, visitor screening and discreet message taking
Mail, IT and meeting room bookings handled for you
No fit-out to fund before you open the door
02

Month to month available on every membership
Six, twelve and twenty-four month terms bring the monthly price down
03

Support your clients.

Somewhere you are glad to bring the people you act for.
Client-ready meeting rooms and boardrooms in every building
Reception there to greet the people you act for
Mediation suites with separation rooms when a matter needs them
04

Helena Mrmos
Principal Lawyer, Mozaik Lawyers
“I can pop over to file, or reception will file it for me. Handy, being the only person in my firm.”
Chelsea Baker
Principal Lawyer, Baker Hastings
“If I need to go home and help with the kids, I can. It makes me more present at home, 100%.”

Common questions

Things people usually ask us first.

The member services team at the Clarence reception desk

Do I have to sign a lease?

No. Every membership is available month to month. Longer commitments of six, twelve or twenty-four months bring the monthly price down.

Is everyone here a lawyer?

Clarence was created by lawyers, for lawyers, and legal practices are the core of the community. Professionals who work alongside the law are members too.
