What is a virtual office?
Virtual offices are designed to grow with you as your business grows. Beyond convenience and flexibility, a virtual office lets you represent your business professionally without the high costs of a full-time office. Whether you need a Virtual Receptionist, Virtual Address or Virtual Office, Clarence has a range of solutions to improve your end-to-end business operations.
What are the benefits of a virtual office?
Our virtual offices provide a bespoke CBD address and point of contact where all of your correspondence with current and future clients can take place.
How can a virtual receptionist help my business operations?
A virtual receptionist is the point of call for all your business liaisons. Never miss a call again: personalised phone answering, call forwarding to any mobile or landline, and 24/7 personalised voicemail.
Are meeting rooms available with a virtual membership?
Yes. Access our professional meeting rooms at a reduced rate. Rooms cater to groups of 1–10 people, all equipped with video conferencing, HD screens and modern furniture. Four hours of meeting room access is included with the Virtual Office membership.
Can I port my existing number to Clarence?
Yes, you can port any eligible number you own to Clarence. Porting can take up to four weeks, depending on the carriers involved, the type of number, the country it is based in, and whether all documents in the port order are correct.
Why do I have to verify my identity to join?
Business address and mail services are regulated under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, so Clarence must verify the identity of every new member before providing services, no exceptions. The check is done online through a secure link sent after you sign up: photo ID and proof of address for each person, plus a current company extract if you are joining as a company. It must be completed within 2 business days of receiving the email, so have the documents ready when you sign up.
What does the identity check actually look at?
It confirms you are who you say you are and that your address is valid, and screens against government sanctions lists and politically exposed persons registers. It is the standard KYC check, run against the same databases banks use. Your details are encrypted, used only to complete the verification, and never used for marketing.
What if something goes wrong partway through the check?
For problems inside the verification itself, such as an upload that will not work or a document not accepted, email support@instantcompliance.ai and their Australian support team will sort it out. For anything else, call Clarence on 1300 310 500.
